Down Time

Heading up to Forster this weekend to get away and chill. Maybe do some fishing with the old man. When I got back from Ireland I high tailed it strait up to Forster as Mum and Dad had a caravan at the time. They have since relocated there but the caravan was great. Lots of fishing and watching cricket. I managed to do a lot of writing and got a couple of new songs for my new project scheduled for next year. Any way, looking forward to this weekend and all the perks that go with coastal living at its best on the north coast. 

This will be the last time I get away for a while. From about mid August till the end of the year ill be busy busy. North Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, Western NSW, all over the place. No doubt at christmas when I do get some rest ill be strait back up to Forster. Oh no I wont, have tickets to the Ashes in Melbourne. Wow thats gonna be a great Christmas. MCG, beer, sun, thats an Aussie Christmas if ever I imagined one all those years in the rain in Ireland. Bring on the summer. Summer always makes me write. until it gets ridiculously hot that is. May have a song all about cricket next album.

Any ways, enough random thoughts. Must do some work as I am away from tomorrow. May have some pictures of some big catches for ya all next week. We'll see how we go with the weather. May just catch a cold.

On The Road Again

On the road again we are! This coming weekend is what music is all about. Hitting the road with my best mate Jamie who will be banging the pig skin all weekend ie: drums. He says he is happiest when he is doing this and I can only agree.

Friday I am jamming with 8 Ball Atken at the Northern Star Hotel in Newcastle. Saturday we'll be at Salamanda Mall for 11 and then the Marinas at midday for the Nelson Bay Country Music Fest. Sunday we're off to Mudgee for the Country Muster playing from 5:30 at the Lawson Park Hotel. Now a pub that is named after our greatest poet must be a good Aussie pub. See ya at one of em!

I'll check in with some stories after this weekend. Sure there will be a few.

Busy Weeks Ahead

Hi all.

Had a great week this week with some interviews all over the country including Mt Isa, Bega, Townsville and Emerald Vic. The interviews were to promote my new single Falling Buildings. Had some interesting chats with the dj's and heard some great stories.

Next couple of weeks are looking busy. Playing in Newcastle tonight and then Tea Gardens tomorrow. Sunday is Bailmain Sydney at the Bald Rock Hotel. Next weekend is the Nelson Bay Country Music Fest and then I am off to Mudgee for a Sunday gig. Loads of miles for the truck and hopefully make some new friends along the way.

Cant believe its June already. Where is the year going. Still that means Mildura Festival will be hear soon and I am really looking forward to this one.

Very pleased that the first single from my new album "The Last Eleven Years", "Perfect Day", has been generating some good airplay around Australia.

The track recently peaked at #35 on the Mildura Hot 100 Country Chart and has just debuted at #47 on the CMC Top 50 Video Chart.
